West Orange, NJ – Spectrum360, a non-profit leader in special education and adult services for people with autism and related disabilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Lipkin, CPA, CFE, CGMA, as the President-Elect of its Board of Trustees. A seasoned financial executive, Mr. Lipkin will shadow our current Board President, Michael Reimer, for the next year. He will then succeed Mr. Reimer, who plans to step down from the role of Board President in September of 2023.
Mr. Lipkin has served as a member of Spectrum360’s board since 2016, dedicating hours of service to its mission and supporting initiatives that foster growth and development for our students and adults. Lipkin participated in several committees including the Finance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Fore the Kids Golf Tournament Committee. He was appointed as Secretary of the Board of Trustees in 2018 and was integral in the acquisition and financing of new facilities in Livingston. As President, Lipkin plans to bolster Board operations through fostering collaboration with Spectrum360’s Executive Leadership and empowering members to take ownership of their roles and projects as the board takes on its ambitious plans for the future.
Lipkin has years of financial and organizational leadership expertise. As a current partner at Sobel & Co., Lipkin leads engagements in the firm’s Assurance Practice, working closely with clients across various industries with a particular focus on the manufacturing/distribution and construction sectors and the rapidly evolving areas of software, technology and life sciences. Lipkin’s expertise in multi-disciplinary management, focus on team-building and his passion for community involvement make him the ideal person to spearhead the Board of Trustees’ goals.
“I am proud to be serving in the role of President-Elect of the Board of Trustees of Spectrum360. I eagerly look forward to working closely with Michael Reimer this year as we continue to support the community we serve. Michael is a master at developing relationships both across the organization and across the State – and I have much to learn from him as we work together to foster a focus on growth.”
“Adam brings the energy, passion, vision and business acumen needed to move Spectrum360 into the future,” Michael Reimer shared. It has been an honor to lead our board over the past 30 years. I am excited to guide Adam over the next year and help him transition into this new role”.
Lipkin resides in Essex County with his wife and two children.
