Explore digital content production, editing, game creation, graphic arts and much more. After school & weekend classes are open to students age 16 & up.
Originating as a film studies class at Academy360, FilmAcademy360 focuses on self-expression and vocational exploration, teaching not only technical skills but also helping creative minds develop confidence and self-esteem.
From classroom studies to in-studio experiences, our students work on productions which build social, emotional and communication skills, and prepare them for higher education or employment.
Paid Courses
Located on the Livingston Campus, we offer courses for both individuals age 16 and up with autism and related disabilities as well as any interested community member. These paid courses provide a dynamic and team-oriented teaching environment designed to build technical and social skills. Program participants receive one-on-one training and the opportunity to pursue interests in front of or behind the camera. Our courses are accessible to participants at all levels of proficiency who can take part in classes that are adapted to various areas of interest and initial ability.
Courses include:
TV 101: A unique dual enrollment program for students age 16 and up that awards 3 college credits through a cooperative arrangement with Bergen Community College. Earned credits can transfer to any other New Jersey-based community college. Open to students in FilmAcademy360 or Academy360 Upper School Film Studies.
Adobe Premiere Certification: We are an authorized proctor and official testing center for the Adobe Certification course and exam. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the exam will become Adobe Certified Associates. This certification is internationally recognized and increases the potential for hiring in freelance and staff positions in our industry.
Media Crunch Saturday Workshop: For aspiring content creators, we have created a course teaching the elements of creating original and unique digital content. In this 10-week course students will embark on the content creation journey — from writing scripts, to acting, to filming. Each student will use our professional studio and editing equipment while also receiving expert instruction from our professional staff. Students will produce their own original content piece that will premiere at the annual FilmAcademy360 Film Festival held at a local New Jersey theater.
Digital Media Freelancing: In this course students create a show reel and open personal profiles on freelance websites specialized in finding jobs in the media industry. We work closely with ProductionHub, a staffing resource nationwide for the largest TV and media producers, to help facilitate the job search.

First-Time Film Student Shines at FA360
Dominic started his first session at FilmAcademy360 this past spring. He has already completed his own project and is now working with a group of new friends on a collaborative project.
"Since starting the Film Program at A360 we’ve noticed an improvement in our son’s speech. In addition to building his confidence, his speech has become more natural. He would read and speak with no affect. The instructors have taught and modeled for him to modulate when reading a script. This class has become one of his favorites."
