Originating as a film studies class at Academy360, FilmAcademy360 focuses on self-expression and vocational exploration, teaching not only technical skills but also helping creative minds develop confidence and self-esteem.
From classroom studies to in-studio experiences, our students work on productions which build social, emotional and communication skills, and prepare them for higher education or employment.
Located on the Livingston Campus, we offer courses for both individuals age 16 and up with autism and related disabilities as well as any interested community member. These paid courses provide a dynamic and team-oriented teaching environment designed to build technical and social skills. Program participants receive one-on-one training and the opportunity to pursue interests in front of or behind the camera. Our courses are accessible to participants at all levels of proficiency who can take part in classes that are adapted to various areas of interest and initial ability.

Adults who receive DDD benefits under the category of Goods and Services can pay for our courses using their DDD budget. Since FilmAcademy360 is open to the general public we are authorized to bill our course fees through the DDD financial processor. FA360 Crew is an opportunity for students to build their resume through paid and unpaid internships. It provides production support to private companies, non-profit organizations, local governments and more. Our crew members gain experience as student production assistants and assistant editors, focusing on developing interpersonal skills while refining skills in filming, editing and technical support related to digital media production.
For individuals participating in our paid courses who demonstrate advanced skills and abilities that advance beyond the studio.

FilmAcademy hosted a very special event in early April, inviting the public to be part of a video production directed by its students. Those taking part in the hands-on, interactive experience worked side-by-side with young adults on the spectrum and learned about their remarkable abilities.
