NAPSEC represents more than 200 private special education and adult service programs nationally and more than 800 at the state level through the Council of Affiliated State Associations (CASA). NAPSEC members include private early intervention providers, schools, residential therapeutic centers, and adult day and living programs which provide special education services to individuals with disabilities of all ages.

As President, Ken will play an important role in leading NAPSEC’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Membership through strategic discussions and decision-making setting the organization’s priorities. He will represent the association to external stakeholders, championing the needs of member programs and the individuals served. Additionally, he will appoint committee leaders, oversee agency finances, and hold a voting position on the NCASES commission, influencing national accreditation standards for private special education schools.

“NAPSEC plays a vital role in both education and advocacy for  the availability of high-quality special education and adult services to all who need them, nationwide. In addition, NAPSEC provides an amazing support network and resource for providers of these services in every state in the nation..  I am both humbled and honored to be elected President of NAPSEC and committed to working with our dedicated members and stakeholders to advance our mission and create even greater meaningful impact for the individuals with disabilities we are dedicated to serving.” said Ken Berger.

“NAPSEC relies on its board of directors and committee members to set direction and lead important initiatives for the organization and our members across the country,” said Danielle Damm, Executive Director and CEO. “Ken had been an active NAPSEC board member for a number of years now and we are thrilled to have Ken now voted into the role of our Board President.  I look forward to working with him in this pivotal role.”

Spectrum360 congratulates Ken on his well-deserved appointment and looks forward to seeing him continue to advocate for and advance the field of special education and adult services on a national level.
